Ultimately, it means changing habits and choosing to take care of yourself. We reveal the formula in 8 tips!

1. How to lose weight while eating healthy at the same time

Eating healthy is often associated with weight loss. In fact, with healthy eating habits, it’s easier to say goodbye to the extra pounds of summer, inactivity, or a sedentary life. But not only. When we are overweight, we eat more than our bodies need or we have to exercise more. At least 30 minutes of exercise a day, such as Brisk walking, for example, can help you lose weight.

When it comes to eating, it is important what you eat, but also how you eat healthily. For example, change your attitude towards food. Remember that you are eating to satisfy hunger and that it is important to stop when you meet that need; without waiting to be full.

2. How important it is to eat healthily

Before thinking about which foods to and shouldn’t eat, it’s important to have a good foundation on how. For example, it is important to note that you should not skip any of the 3 main meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner).

If you come to any of them with a big appetite, overeating is easy. For this reason it is preferable to follow the recommendation of 5 meals; one snack in the morning and another one in the afternoon. A dairy, piece of fruit, handful of nuts or seeds are good options. Or seed and nut bars!

Time is also important to eat healthily. Try to prepare your meals at the same time and devote time to them without rushing. Eating quickly makes digestion difficult and can lead to overeating because by the time your brain receives the signal that your stomach is full, it is too late.

3. Always drink water

If you want to eat healthily, drink water and remove carbonated or sugary drinks like sodas and packaged fruits from your refrigerator. Drinking about 2 liters a day will help regulate your appetite and is important in losing weight. If you are one of those people who has trouble drinking, try to work or study with a bottle of water by your side at all times. Or drink a couple of glasses before you eat.

4. Fats only when they are good

Fats are high in calories, so it is better to limit their consumption to what they are, a dressing for other foods. Also, opt only for healthy fats like olive oil, sunflower oil, and those that contain foods like avocado, olives, walnuts, or oily fish. For special occasions, cut down on sausages and other animal fats or palm and coconut oils. And between butter and margarine, you should always opt for the former, which is more natural and healthier.

5. Say goodbye to excess sugar and salt

Sugar and salt can beautify a healthy meal or dish if used in the right amount. Salty food is detrimental to cardiovascular health and, like eating too sugary, prevents weight loss. Salt and sugar can even increase your appetite and are very present in highly processed foods like ready meals, sauces, or packaged juices and smoothies. Run away from them as often as you can!

6. Make fruits and vegetables the basis of your diet

Nutritionists are well aware of this; Fruits and vegetables should be the basis of your diet. This is reflected in the “healthy plate” rule that has become popular with nutritionists and doctors: if you want to eat healthily, half of your main meals should consist of fruit and vegetables. And half of the ones you eat every day better raw. Sign up for salads or natural fresh fruit smoothies, your body will appreciate it!

7. Cereals, better whole grains

According to the norm of the healthy plate, muesli should make up 25% of every meal of the day. These include rice, pasta, bread or muesli, which are contained in the delicious porridge. Because in a healthy diet, it is important that cereals are wholesome and natural.

8. Avoid ready meals or fast food
