Aunt Bonnie’s selling CBD products in Manchester | Business

MANCHESTER – Vallis Goodermote, owner and operator of Aunt Bonnie’s, brought to Manchester her knowledge of cannabidiol, her passion for helping people and her quest for a healthy, balanced life.

In late November, Goodermote opened Aunt Bonnie’s, an intimate retail and online store selling high-potency, full-spectrum CBD products.

Goodermote, who currently commutes from upstate New York, opened a store at Kate Spade’s former location at Manchester Designer Outlets, transforming the traditional retail outlet into an inviting, spa-like space.

“I love being a part of Manchester Designer Outlets,” said Goodermote. “I feel part of the Manchester community.”

Vermont’s hemp-friendly regulations are one of the reasons Goodermote chose to open a retail store in Manchester. But she also recognized Manchester’s reputation as a destination for out-of-towners and as a place where people from smaller, surrounding communities shop.

“The local community has been incredibly supportive,” Goodermote said. “I had a great December.”

Goodermote’s clientele, which includes locals and tourists alike, come to their store looking for a natural way to reduce stress, improve sleep, and relieve sore muscles and joint pain — common ailments Goodermote believes they can help with Aunt Bonnie’s CBD products can help.

Aunt Bonnie’s high-potency CBD comes from US Department of Agriculture-certified organic hemp farms in Vermont, New York, and Colorado. The full-spectrum label means the entire hemp plant was used during processing. “Full-spectrum is hemp extracted in its most natural form,” Goodermote said.

The resulting CBD can contain up to 0.3 percent THC, the cannabinoid in the cannabis plant that induces a “high” feeling, although these CBD products have no such effect.

Goodermote was exposed to CBD early in the pandemic when she was stressed and not sleeping well from virtual schooling for her two elementary-age children and working from home as a self-employed entrepreneur. Looking for a natural solution, a friend suggested trying CBD.

Goodermote was amazed at how helpful it was and inspired to share the benefits of CBD with others.

Goodermote prides itself on the quality of their CBD products. “Even the pet products could be eaten by humans,” she said, pointing to the list of ingredients in a bag of dog treats.

Aunt Bonnie’s most popular products are a lavender pain reliever lotion, used to soothe aching joints and muscles, and CBD gummies (30 mg), used to promote sound sleep and reduce stress.

Other products include Aunt Bonnie’s USDA Certified Organic CBD Oils (40mg, 50mg, 80mg – their most potent full-spectrum oil), typically used to reduce anxiety; CBD Softgel Capsules; organic hemp flower; hemp pre-rolls; and organic CBD oil for dogs and cats, which can be used to relieve stress or relieve pain.

Recently, Goodermote brought in handcrafted CBD chocolates made from certified organic Vermont hemp by a Northern Vermont confectionery. Supplies are running low, but she’s hoping to get more in time for Valentine’s Day.

For those wondering, the caricature on Aunt Bonnie’s logo is a youthful image of the real Aunt Bonnie: a woman in her 70s who hikes, kayaks, gardens, reads, and uses CBD to relieve her pain .

“She’s what we all want to be when we reach her age,” Goodermote said admiringly. “It’s a good reminder to live a balanced life.”
